Angullong Fossil Hill Sangiovese 2022

From Mt Canobolas in the Orange region, this is a pleasing local style of Sangiovese, a grape that has not always proved a raging success in Australia. Crimson red hue here, we have notes of dry herbs, spices, redcurrants and tomato bushes. Hints of roast meat emerge more on the palate. This is a fine, medium-length example of the style with good focus and bright acidity. An attractive style for enjoying over the next three to four years.
