Editorial Policy – June 1, 2022

Winepilot Media is a free service for consumers providing independent reviews to increase their wine, beer and spirits drinking pleasure. Our key aim at Winepilot.com is to provide consumers with the best advice and user-friendly reviews to not only tell a story but also deeply connect with drinkers, independent of their taste or budget. We do this with a wide team, including some of the country’s most respected wine critics and sommeliers. In particular, with a distinct lack of female and younger voices among current online wine publications, Winepilot includes a diverse range of voices to appeal to consumers of all ages and tastes.

To provide these expert reviews, we taste a wide range of samples from wineries, retailers, brewers, distillers, importers and distributors submitted to us by partners who pay a subscription fee for us to publish reviews and articles, and for that commentary to be used by wineries, retailers and distributors in their sales and marketing campaigns. This is a common practice in the global wine industry although with a range of different revenue models. Importantly there is no cost for wineries, breweries and distilleries to submit wines, beers and spirits for a tasting. We will never charge consumers for general access to Winepilot.com thereby helping wineries, craft brewers and distillers to reach a wider audience. Please contact us at any time if you feel that Winepilot.com does not live up to the high expectations of editorial independence we set ourselves.
