Mumm

The new Mumm Prestige releases come from the capable hands of Trina Smith, recently appointed as Mumm Terroirs Pacific Winemaker, working closely with G.H. Mumm Chef de Cave, Yann Munier. It is no surprise, then, that this range sits firmly within the reliable, recognisable, and high-quality category for which G.H. Mumm is renowned. With the Mumm Terroirs Brut Prestige range, we now celebrate sites closer to home—ideally suited to exceptional sparkling wine production and meticulous craftsmanship.

Mumm Prestige Tasmania
93 Point | $38

A wonderful representation of Tasmania’s maritime climate, this captures the coastal breeze and cool conditions with star fruit, white pear and lemon slices. A bouquet of white flowers, flannel, tea rose and quince blossom. Its biscuit yeast notes lean to shortbread and almond biscotti but with the crunch of biting down into a granny smith apple. Fine thrilling acidity and a clean quartz like finish, there is a reason fizz lovers pick up a bottle of Mumm time and time again. Now our wonderful Tasmanian growing conditions are part of the ongoing success story too. Drink chilled now to toast to Tassie, friendship or simply for getting through till Wednesday. Every moment deserves a celebration.

Mumm Prestige Marlborough
93 Points | $40

The brilliance of Marlborough’s sunshine is bottled here with grapefruit skin, ripe nectarines and lemon jam. Some honeysuckle notes mid palate and acidity that runs swiftly and directly down the middle palate, its moreish and utterly succulent. Churned butter and almond shell, round out a full palate with addictive nature. This is ideal as an aperitif but has the ability to work with butter crayfish, firm white fish and white meat as well. The golden rule is sparkling works with everything and everyone. Drink now.

Mumm Prestige Marlborough Rosé
94 Points | $40

A quaint cherry blossom pink hue in the glass. You’ll immediately be chuffed with the Alpine strawberries, quince paste and plum skin notes to this wine. Pinot Noir singing in clear Mezzo -Soprano song. This speaks of the crystal cut purity of Marlborough Pinot in spades, bravo. Ruby grapefruit citrus and lemon verbena. Baked scones, ginger and cantaloupe melon. There is a crushed hazelnut cream moment, that fleshes out some of the zinging acidity. This is begging for trout, fatty pork or bouncy pop tunes. Drink now and put your hands up in the air because life is good.
