Evocative. The wine recalls memories of afternoon walks at dusk, with the crackle of dried leaves underfoot, the sweet smell of baked soil from the day and the faintest smell of bbq meats in the distance. Of course there are blackberries, morello cherries, sage and huckleberry bush. Complimented by cinnamon quill, tanned leather and paperbark. Moreover there is a real spectrum of fruit, spice and undergrowth. It is knitted well this wine with a filigree of tannins and slurp of Cabernet fruit. It makes for very tasty drinking indeed. Drink with a great big tommahawk steak carved beautifully on a big wooden serving board and a pot of Diane sauce alongside please.
