Rising One Acre Chardonnay 2021

Share

Two picks of the Birdwood block from the steep south facing site, these vines are 30 years old. Pressed to 25% new French oak for fermentation. Zero malolactic fermentation and 12 months on full lees in oak. Stonkingly fresh with white nectarine, yellow grapefruit and kumquat. Crushed sandstone, oatmeal and almond flour. Acidity dances across the palate with river stone minerality and a creamy coconut milk finish. Oak is mellow and supportive of the citrus and stone fruit core. This is beautifully integrated and once again, feels effortless and natural. One Acre fits into the Rising collection with ease. Drink now but has capabilities to age for a further 2-5 years. A fitting match for a creamy dahl and roti number.
