Riverdale Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Channels the kind of über-herbaceousness that so many drinkers gravitate to. Explores a riper expression of the grape filled with tropical fruit and citrus scents mixed with an exuberance of fresh-cut grass, snowpea and gooseberry. And that’s just the bouquet. The dial moves up in intensity on the palate with an offering of lantana, green apple, citrus, herbals and mineral-like gunflint. While many of these immediate styles don’t generally allow for a textural presence, you will find it here. It brings something extra to the wine, including an ability to match a broad range of foods. Quite a stand-up-knock-‘em down kind of Sauvignon that just relishes being out of the bottle and into a glass.
