It was matured for 12 months in American oak hogsheads, 33% of which were new. This is a deep, brooding wine with a firm sense of identity. The nose is classic and inviting—cedar, black pepper and blackberry are met by grilled meats, with bay leaf and dried herbs emerging as the wine opens. It’s dark-fruited and savoury, with a cool, composed edge. The palate walks a fine line between power and finesse. Blackberry, blackcurrant and dark plum are layered with spice, earth and oak, all held in check by a firm spine of chalky tannins. There’s structure, drive and length, and the whole thing feels assured and complete. A beautifully judged release—confident, composed and built to cellar.

This release reflects the coolness of the 2023 vintage with precision and restraint. The nose opens with a lifted, herbal spectrum—green bell pepper, jalapeño and bay leaf—before slowly unfurling to reveal cassis, red plum and fine cedar. It’s aromatic but taut, with a clear nod to the vintage’s cooler leanings. On the palate, red and black fruits sit tightly within a firm lattice of tannin and acid. There’s shape and definition—red plum, blackcurrant and cedar layered over graphite-like structure. The finish is savoury and compact, suggesting this needs time and air to fully reveal its depth. A composed and varietal expression, with more to give.

Black cherry, dark plum, cedar, spice and subtle game notes glide with precision and energy. There’s a clarity to the wine’s shape and detail, and a long, effortless finish that speaks to its pedigree. A beautifully judged St Henri—classical, understated, and deeply satisfying.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon drawn from McLaren Vale, Padthaway and Barossa Valley, matured for 18 months in 100% new American oak hogsheads. This is a cooler, more reserved expression of Bin 707—restrained in profile, yet still bearing the hallmarks of the style. The nose opens quietly, led by green capsicum, snap pea and cedar, before deepening into cassis, bay leaf and vanilla with time in the glass. There’s a sense of measured progression here—everything unfolds gradually. On the palate, the wine is composed and cool-fruited, with blackcurrant, dark cherry and vanilla layered over a framework of bay leaf, chocolate and polished oak. Fine-grained tannins and a seam of fresh acidity give the wine lift and direction. While less forceful than some vintages, this is no less convincing—an elegant, coiled Bin 707 that speaks to vintage conditions while maintaining its identity.

The nose is finely poised, slowly revealing layers of peach skin, nectarine, nougat and fine cedar, with a savoury, lees-derived pastry-dough character lending complexity and dimension. There’s both delicacy and latent power here. The palate is sleek, tightly wound and effortlessly composed—pear, poached apple, cinnamon spice, flint and cedar glide across a frame of vibrant acidity and beautifully gauged phenolic structure.  Long, shapely and refined, this is a very well crafted Yattarna, balancing finesse with latent strength.
