Luis Felipe Edwards Classic Carmenere 2019

Share

Carmenere is a grape variety imported from Bordeaux in France decades ago. It is actually so long ago that French winemakers pulled it all out preferring Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. But what would they know as in the right climate Carmenere can make some delicious wines.

This is quite classic for the grape in a drink now style. There are lashings of blackberry jam and dried herb fruits. The wine has lots of flavour and is soft and supple so super easy drinker. A no-brainer for the price.
