Orlando Steingarten Eden Valley Riesling 2020

Share

Often relatively young Riesling can lack complexity, which is definitely not the case here. Aromas run the full gamut with lime juice and zest, orange blossom, spicy fennel, a whisper of cucumber and the moreish minerality of sea shells and river pebbles. In the mouth it is delicate and zesty with vibrant acid as pure as the driven snow. Lime and lemon dance on the palate with a savoury note of fresh thyme. It finishes long and dry with a food friendly chalky texture. In a tricky vintage for so many reasons, this wine is a triumph.
