It is a deep ruby in colour and opens with plush mulberry Shiraz fruits. But it’s what lies underneath that most impresses with savoury liquorice allsorts, black pepper and earth plus a touch of stalky herbs lifting this far above your run of the mill Barossan. Generously proportioned fruit pastille and jubey flavours follow with good impact and a delicious youthful vitality before filling out and then finishing long and supple. It’s a stylish and early drinking Barossan perfect for gourmet sausage rolls.
