Felicette Grenache Rouge 2020

Yes that’s right, a French Grenache with space cats on the label named after Felicette, a Parisian stray that was the first cat in space. But don’t be put off as this delicious red for casual drinking has much to offer. Made with fruit from the Languedoc-Roussillon, which sits around the Mediterranean coast, it is quite deeply coloured for Grenache with plenty of rustic charm thanks to blackberry and black cherry fruits lifted by roasted meats and white pepper. It’s then mouthfilling with rivers of dark fruit and chalky tannins which provide good upfront impact before softening out to a fleshy finish. French flair for a smart price.
