Henschke Henry’s Seven 2025

Share

A Barossa based GSM in a switcheroo blend, here 65% Shiraz, 20% Mataro and 15% Grenache from both the Valley region and Eden Valley. The combination reveals a vibrant aroma, a spiced cherry suggestion, a faint sense of mulled wine, yet juicy, fresh and subtly minty, lightly touched by oak (20% new French for 10 months). All up, simply a joy to drink. As a side note, the way that the Henschke ethos marries family and local history, in this case Henry Evans, pioneer grower in the Keyneton district in 1853 in its naming dedication, with contemporary drinking styling, is forever applauded.
