An exquisite Yarra Valley Pinot Noir from a very good season. The low cropping levels have produced fruit of intense concentration which winemaker David Bicknell has brilliantly harnessed and coaxed into a Pinot of elegance and supreme refinement. The aromas of light cherry with a backdrop of subtle turned earth and truffle-like characters are immediately captivating. Then the palate delivers with a smooth effortless silkiness that seems to follow the Pinot Noir playbook for structure and expression. A nice cut of fine acid and that well managed oak sit comfortably within the velvety palate profile. Exceptional wine.
