The classic Rhone blend from a top vintage from McLaren Vale. Pertaringa actually means ‘belonging to the hills’. Maturation was for a year in older French oak. Deep red/magenta. Raspberries, spices including a flick of pepper, dried herbs, hints of chocolate and warm earth. Fine if slightly charry tannins, medium length and intensity plus a firm finish where we see the emergence of black cherries on the palate. Enjoy this now and over the next half dozen years.
