Schubert Estate Goose-Yard Block Shiraz 2021

A quiet start – this is going to be taut one, even at five years of age and it’s going to need more time. Red earth, black and purple fruits, cedar, blackstrap liquorice, cardamom, cloves, lavender fill the scent and the palate.  Definitely on the fuller, richer side (15%ABV), but it carries it well and at this early stage the aromatics are super bright when it counts, especially through the middle palate and onwards. With a decant, everything comes together in a well-structured, elegant whole.
