See Saw Invergo Organic Marsanne 2022

The Marsanne grape isn’t blessed with noteworthy natural acidity. Quite the opposite. So, imagine what it can do when grown at 800m in elevation in a cool climate and a year like 2022 which produced naturally higher acidities? Well, it’s an impressive performance. For one thing, aromatics shine in honeysuckle, jasmine, apple blossom. The grape’s inherent green apple, pear, quince aromas and flavours arrive fresh and vital with a green almond skin bite. Acidity is crunchy, brisk and noted, bringing an infectious liveliness to the wine. Maturation took place in a combo of seasoned barrels and tank with lees stirring for six months. It contributes the gentlest of textures. Love to see how this little beauty ages!
