Warramunda Estate Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2021

The question is whether to drink now or not. Not. I am strongly of the opinion that this finely nuanced  and perfumed youngster would best be enjoyed in its youth. That way the drinker makes the most of all of that liveliness and bright fruits – they are quite irresistible. Cranberry, wild strawberry, red cherry, a touch of earthy rhubarb and herbs; there’s a lot to take in on just one mouthful. Super fresh on the palate, this Pinot is both plush in fruit, discreet in oak and fine in tannin. I don’t see the point in extended ageing when everything is so well-balanced now, but I am sure there will be those who differ in opinion.
