Aces & Arrows Central Otago Pinot Noir 2021

A heady mix of dried rose petals, dark cherries, and plump red currants that burst between your teeth, envelopes you from the first pour. There’s spicy pink peppercorns and ethereal petrichor – that verdant earthy scent that erupts from the ground when it rains. In the mouth it is supple and finely structured, with powdery tannins and bright blood plum acidity. Lashings of red berries and the tangy savour of rhubarb. Gosh, this is fab – beautifully balanced and ridiculously good value. Keep the pairings simple and classic – a roast duck fits the bill perfectly.
