Calabria Family Wines Iconic Grand Reserve Shiraz 2016

Share

Calabria Family Wines have a proud history in the Riverina which they have relatively recently expanded into the Barossa. This is quite a traditional Barossan style sure to appeal to anyone who likes their shiraz packed full of flavour.

Bright deep ruby, there is a big volume of dark generous fruit that immediately rises with some tarry liquorice elements wrapped up nicely by sweet, mocha oak – it’s the complete hedonistic Barossa package. It then proceeds into a voluptuous palate where ripe and fleshy dark and chocolate flavours with red earth accents are supported by balancing tannins that provide backbone to commendable length. It’s a crowd pleaser well matched to a Porterhouse Steak, well done.
