Curtis Family Winemakers Tiberius Shiraz 2021

It’s charming and exotic on the nose, with aromas of roasted coffee beans, vanillin, incense, macerated violets, chocolate-dipped cherries, acai berries, mulberry, plums, and pomegranate. Yet it’s never over the top, each aroma arrives in waves. There’s a noticeable presence of high-quality oak, but the fruit is well-shaped and holds up beautifully. On the palate, it opens delicately, carrying the poised fruit flavours through and maintaining momentum to the finish. This wine is certainly not for the faint-hearted, but it is exemplary and deserves to be celebrated.
