Dandelion Vineyards March Hare of the Barossa Mataro 2022

A variety that continues to emerge as a single variety wine, with outstanding results. This comes from a vineyard in the Marananga subregion and displays a distinctive ironstone, ferruginous character. The oak balance is impeccable, and the depth of fruit has easily handled the 20 months in a mix of largely older but some new French and American oak. Textured, some dried herbs merge with those ironstone character to supplement the excellent fruit.
