Dewey Station The Mars Express Shiraz 2022

Share

Sourced from Altona and Ebenezer. Matured for 9 months in American and French oak of which 40% is new. Blackberries, dark cherries and mulberry leaf. Juniper, allspice and black peppercorns. A good lick of fresh acidity that keeps the palate taut. A harmony of black fruits with woodsy herbs like rosemary and thyme interwoven through. This is a smart little wine, with sweet oak nipped and tucked to fit the fruit weight. A wine that does leave you wanting more. Drink now and will cellar another 2-3 years. Serve with beef empanadas.
