Ferraton Père & Fils Bio Cotes du Rhone Villages 2020

A historic Rhone Valley producer with a history going back to 1946, Ferraton Père & Fils is now owned by Chapoutier although operates independently – the bio range grapegrowing and winemaking guided by biodynamic principles. This is a delicious bistro red for early drinking with very good complexity for Cotes du Rhone Villages. It opens with quite a deep colour before diving into ripe fruit pastilles, cloves, white pepper and charcuterie aromas. It’s then dry and mouth filling, yet supple, with spicy red and black fruits of moderate intensity well balanced with a flick of acidity before a fleshy finish. Super mid week drinking.
