Gilo Special Reserve Shiraz 2022

Smooth, supple, almost sumptuously rich Shiraz from McLaren Vale, from a season that’s produced some quite marvelous wines. Not the opulence of twenty-one, but instead a wine that retains its sweet fruit characters but with admirable elegant restraint. Earthy dark fruits, chocolate, and ripe dark plums are all swirling through here with a palate that is a satiny smooth combination. Has some nice earthy notes on the finish.
