Gralyn Estate Reserve Shiraz 2017

Share

While there is a decent amount of shiraz planted in Margaret River, very few wineries release premium wines, preferring to put all their eggs in the cabernet basket. This wine provides a good case for Margaret River Shiraz with its deep colour and distinctly Rhone Valley style with dark mulberry fruits lifted by white pepper, mushroom, meat and well balanced oak. The palate is dry, juicy and elegant – spicy black olive tapenade supported by supple tannins that help to sustain a long and silky finish. It’s quite delicious and intriguing although without quite the aging potential of cabernets off the estate.
