Hewitson Monopole Shiraz 2021

Share

Estate grown, the vines from this single vineyard are ‘Sélection Clonale’, grafted from one lone 1853 Shiraz vine found growing in the middle of The Old Garden Vineyard. The 2021 Monopole Shiraz is showing supple black fruits, blueberries and cream with spice, pepper, leather and cocoa. Layers of aromas are matched with a full-bodied power-pack of intensity and Dean Hewitson’s hallmark supple palate that’s both smooth and textural. It’s ripe but savoury, with medium elegant alcohol, chalky, dusty tannins and a cocoa dust finish. Drink or hold for a decade.
