Hutton Vale Farm Eden Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Share

In the 2019 vintage yields were down in the Eden Valley, but late ripening grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling did particularly well. This single vineyard Cabernet is a fine ambassador for the vintage and the region featuring astute and quality winemaking from experienced red wine specialist, Kym Teusner. Maturation in French oak, a mix of seasoned and new (11%), elevates the wine while never speaking too loudly. Subtle, almost delicate, scents of blackberry, bramble and plum, tilled earth and dried leaves. Very autumnal. Everything sings in harmony on the palate with black-hearted fruit joined by spice with additional mint and spearmint herbals. Tannins are fine, well-structured and integrated. Everything is in place and ready to go but should you feel like it, it will definitely take time in the cellar.
