Kaesler Old Vine Semillon 2025

Share

Another perky and punchy aromatic wine from 1961 planted vines. Here the aromas lead with white melons, nashi pear and finger limes. Some pickled ginger and the chew of raw licorice root. The river of natural elevated acidity flows in a torrent making for thirst quenching and yet saline succulence. It is a uniquely shaped wine, with middle palate creaminess showing in its youth. There is care and understanding for the variety grown in its Barossa roots and a wine that will age at a glacial pace. Drink with raw prawns sliced thinly in a white soy, ginger dressing to really appreciate its texture and flow.
