Kirkton Estate The Kurtz Shiraz 2021

Picked mulberries, black cherries and boysenberry. Ripe coconut husk, mocha and speckled vanilla beans in cream. A swirl of cedar and dried figs. Maple leaf and cardamom. Bing cherries and black forest on the palate the wine leans into the darker fruit spectrum. Some savoury tones of leather and espresso. Acidity ticks along and tannins are sturdy. It’s got plenty of weight and power with a kick of raspberry compote to boot. Drinking well now and will cellar 3-6 years. This can handle the bone in ribeye steak with a rich demi glace.
