This is a famous and distinctive wine from Mount Langi, coming from the original old block on the estate. It’s a generous, full-bodied, and opulent wine showing tremendous fruit concentration. It’s augmented with slightly cranberry-like red fruit, a little spice, and even a faint touch of sage bush. The tannins are fine, with a distinctive chalky character, and the combination of black and blue fruits is engaging. Such a beautiful example of what can be achieved with these 50-plus-year-old vines from the original planting. Outstanding.
