Oliver’s Taranga Corrina’s Shiraz Cabernet 2021

Cabernet shiraz blends are iconically Australian and I think perhaps, it’s time to see them as a trend worthy of re-emergence. 

This offers up a melange of fresh, juicy fruit – blueberries, blackcurrants, raspberries and cherries straight off the tree. There’s just a hint of earthy minerality (it’s just a young’n), with dark chocolate and a whisper of fresh mint.

It gives vibes of Christian Bale’s Batman – Dark and brooding but remarkably nuanced. Full bodied but not heavy with fine ripe tannins and refreshing acidity. Slow roast some lamb, decant the wine and reconnect with this fantastic blend.
