Organic Hill Founders Release McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2025

The Founders Release series, from grapes grown in the McLaren Vale region of South Australia, is the winery’s Premium series. They are made without preservatives, certified organic and also biodynamic. Opaque purple with a dark mauve rim, this is youthful, inevitably, but fresh with good concentration and focus. There is good energy here and on the nose we have aromas weaving through chocolate, plums, bay leaves, licorice, blackberries and kirsch. The wine offers a supple texture through to fine tannins. There is a lot to like here. The best idea would be to put it aside for twelve months and then drink it over the following decade. Every chance the score will edge up a little more during that time.
