A blending masterwork here: multi-vintage to start with, harvested across Sidewood’s several Hills vineyards, and incorporating 12 separate clones of Shiraz. Matured for 18 months in large oak vessels before secondary fermentation, the result is lush yet not overtly sweet, berry fruits of the forest flavours mostly, some plum richness as well, all in a swirl courtesy of its soft aeration, back notes of cinnamon biscuits lying in wait between sips. Lots to appreciate here as a Sparkling Shiraz that encourages a second glass without scaring your inner dietician!
