My pick of the Step by Step whites, this is a very pleasing wine, varietally precise. Clean with garden herbs and most obviously, freshly sliced pears. It is bright, gentle and lingers impressively with nice balance here – a fine example of pinot grigio and a wine for early drinking. The makers advise that it feels like ‘Kayne and Kim’. Never having felt either, I couldn’t possibly comment.
