Sidewood Estate has built an enviable reputation in the world of elite traditional method Sparkling wines, while with this, based on Sauvignon Blanc fruit, there’s a whole other set of tasting parameters to consider in zero-alcohol territory. Aromatic whites and sparklings are able to retain their allure to some extent, but it’s the palate where you need to step out of your traditional wine comfort zone. Lemon cream biscuit to start, a very fluffy bubble and mousse at first entry, with tart lemon juice and grapefruit sorbet bursting in the mouth, acidity wild, palate sweetness looking to find some kind of balance. Lingering citric flavours do their best to refresh in the finish. Score based on zero-alcohol wine parameters.
