Marnong Estate Blanc de Blancs 2022

It’s not often I get to write ‘bubbly oomph’ as a tasting descriptor, but this has it. Youthful zesty and super fresh with plenty of bubbly oomph, this blanc de blancs captures Chardonnay at its zingy-est.  A nicely executed vintage sparkling boasting a fine bead and a wealth of apple blossom, white flowers, dusty lemon and quince, cut apple, almond meal and biscuit with a splash of saline-inviting oyster shell. Built on fresh acidity, it offers bright and tangy Chardonnay flavours with some autolysis-led notes of toasted nuts, almond bread. Good all-round balance on show.
