Thomas Wines Kiss Hunter Valley Shiraz 2019

Share

The flagship red for Thommo from a great Hunter vintage. 30% New French oak for the 16 months maturation.

Brightly edged, ermine purple in hue. Amalgam of contemporary Hunter Valley characteristics: Pain a chocolat, rose petal, licorice bullet, kidskin animalia, musk stick with wedding cake (spice) + icing. The fruit here, which will be the pin-up material for the moment being a temporary, (if still intense) wallflower which will over time overtake and be celebrated by the now-primary yet quality oak.  This is an elegant, supple and layered wine with a long bright tail that speaks of glories to come.
