Victory Point Petit Verdot 2023

Perfumed and meaty — Italian cured beef kind of meaty. Bresaola, maybe? Black fruit, pressed violets, a lick of char. The florals go wide: some fresh, some dried, all dramatic. In contrast, the tannins are loud. Screaming, even. It’s unmistakably Petit Verdot — bold, aromatic, unapologetic. Needs food. Needs steak. Something with teeth to bite back.
