Green pepper corn, pastrami, game meat, a touch of twigginess, decaying leaves. Lovely autumnal charm and more about savouriness than fruit. Medium bodied palate, with coolness and lift a foil to its savoury drive. Buoyant and gliding, a deliciously seamless and cohesive set of flavours. Peppercorn again, salumi, subtle spiced plum. Fine chalky tannins and spicy acidity pull the cool notes long through the palate to a finish of freshness and elegance. Cool, spicy Syrah balancing savouriness and freshness to a tee.
