Wolf Blass Grey Label Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2019

Share

The Wolf Blass team, right back to the days of Caroline Dunn as winemaker, have being doing some seriously good things with Adelaide Hills chardy, although the wines seem to have appeared under quite a few of their rainbow of labels. Under Grey, it has found a happy place.

This is all nuts – a mix of cashews and almonds, peaches, stonefruit and more. There is nicely integrated oak, with more integration to come. All very Blass. Lovely aromatics, moving to peaches and cream; fine texture as well. Refreshing acidity, a bright and vibrant cleansing style, which really persists, maintaining moderate intensity. Should drink nicely, indeed it should improve further, over the next 2 to 4 years. Good value.
