Woods Crampton Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019

Some days just require a big glass of red – a wine with a juicy kick of fruit to top off a big day, to just sit back and enjoy. If you are in that kind of mood, then grab a bottle of this bold Barossan from Woods Crampton.

As soon as the wine is in the glass you will find yourself up to your eyeballs in South Australian Shiraz with dense blackberry jam and black olive fruits plus a rocky, spicy edge suggesting a little bit of Eden Valley in the blend.
It is then generous, ripe and fleshy on the palate with good power and length, on top of quite chewy tannins. You could knock it back on its own but this wine would also match up to proper hamburgers, stacked high with bacon and melted cheese.
