This entry-level Wynns cabernet sauvignon from the 2019 vintage announces that this is an exceptional vintage of cabernet sauvignon from the team of Sue Hodder, Sarah Pidgeon and Allen Jenkins. Many other wineries in Coonawarra would be pleased with this wine as their top release.

Bright deep ruby in colour it is a ripe and open knit version of Coonawarra with generous mulberry and blackberry fruits plus quite a distinctive leafy edge. It’s not overly concentrated but is also well-balanced in a mid-weight style. The English would call this a lunchtime Claret with elegant fruit pastille flavours underpinned by fine but mouthcoating tannins that drive a lingering finish. This is a very smart vintage for The Siding.
