The Great Southern region of Western Australia is turning out some of the most aromatic and beautifully defined rieslings in the country.
3 Drops delivers yet another convincing argument that this is the case, this time from the 2020 vintage.
Pale straw. An array of florals – intense apple blossom, lifted spring flowers – is backed by super fresh lemon-grapefruit and spice aromas.
Immediately, resolutely riesling on the palate with citrus, lime leaf, grapefruit pith dryness and a striking lime cordial refrain throughout. Acidity is filigree fine, bringing with it a sense of tension.
So good.
