From the Biscay Road Vineyard in the Barossa Valley, maturation is in a mix of new and older American oak. Dark maroon/magenta, the nose reveals notes of chocolate, warm earth, beetroot, cloves, dried herbs, mushrooms and root vegetables. A muscular style, there is decent length here and good concentration. A full flavoured style which will be brilliant for your next top barbecue or match it with a top-notch steak. Good value.
