Esilio Wild Goose Chase Grenache 2023

Share

Up in the rolling hills above the north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide is a district called Uleybury, set between the two well known regions of the Barossa and the Adelaide Hills, though not within either official boundary, and therefore Harry Mantzarapis’s Esilio Wines takes the labelled appellation of Mt Lofty Ranges. He tends multiple varieties out of his one expansive vineyard, the Grenache with plenty of character, fragrant in a red fruit, Aperol, dusty summer bush track set of aromas, followed by red apple and plum fruit through the palate with a sensitive grip of supportive tannins in the exit and a white pepper spice afterglow. Your barbecue platter will love it.
