Angove Angels Rise Vineyard Shiraz 2021

Share

Reflects its cool, high altitude (270m) home in Clarendon with a structured, complex wine just starting out on what should undoubtedly prove to be a long life. Sourced off 20-year-old vines that offer a fine meshing of blue fruits, black cherries and berries, leaf, Aussie bush and tobacco leaf. There is a strong, lean herbal influence on the palate, taut and firm, with tannins well in place. A light pepperiness, spice, chocolate and woodsmoke notes thread through the fruit with woodsmoke and oak staying with you on the finish. This is a wine that would love to see more time in bottle. It will be worth it.
