From the Serraboella vineyard in the Neive commune, everything about this wine points to the more immediate approachability of Barbaresco. Crimson blue tones in the glass, with high-powered crimson berry and a gentle balsamic edge aromatic offering a vibrant and exciting opening, a gravelly dustiness hinting at its imminent textural feel. There’s plenty of darker cherry flavour to follow, including pip and skin, with a foundation layer of ripe tannins supportive of all its inner pleasures, a moreish tingle of acidity to finish. A joy to drink.
