Barossa Boy Semillon 2022

Share

Dubbed the ‘Risk it for the Biscuit’ Semillon, thanks to a saying around the winery, and the fact that the guys thought it worth risking a Barossa Sem. From 100 year old vines, a portion of the fruit is fermented in French hogsheads. A pale lemon colour, we have notes of florals, hints of lemon curd and a touch of a green olives and leaf. There is a seductive texture and nice weight, yet this is a wine which dances with good balance and length. No reason it won’t age well for a decade, but it will be hard to resist. This is not a Hunter replica, but none the worse for that.
