Ruby colour in the glass. A bright and aromatic nose. Red and black cherries, rose flower heart, baked ham depth, crushed thyme, boysenberry, clove spice and orange bitters. Supple, flowing and textured. There’s some muscle and heft to the palate with bitter cherry and cassis fruit, blanketed with kitchen herb spice. A long and persistent tail with plentiful flavour. It’s easy to see how this has been such a successful wine.
