Briar Ridge Briar Hill Hunter Valley Chardonnay 2022

Share

Sunny, stone-fruited and fleshy, there is an air of deceptive beauty to this young Hunter Chardonnay. Yes, it’s utterly delectable and upfront in its obvious attractions from the sun-ripened nectarine, white peach and citrus fruits, through to the role that oak has played in bringing extra flourishes of toasty-nutty-nougat flavour and complexity. Yes, it boasts a creamy smoothness, further aiding its drinkability right now. No need to wait. But, consider its effortless balance, the kind of acidity that brings great line and length, not to mention the considerable finish Briar Hill brings, and it’s clear that the best is yet to come.
